At the beginning of 2006, during the sun's months of strength, the Abu Sefein youth travelled to the Gold Coast. Guided by Fr Mikhail Mikhail, they indulged in days at the beach, theme parks and other outings to promote their spiritual unity and fellowship.

During 2006, the Youth organised a fete for the entire Coptic community to raise funds for the development of the Father Pishoy Kamel Youth Resource Centre. The entire community came out of the Sunday morning liturgy to find a plethora of stalls, stands, activities, food and sideshows for their enjoyment.
